Employment Law Notification | Health coverage extends teleservice to high-risk persons

On 3 March, health coverage set up the teleservice “declare.ameli.fr” to allow employers to report employees who have no option to work from home and who are forced to stay at home, following the closure of the establishment accommodating their child. That online reporting teleservice has been extended to high-risk individuals since 18 March 2020.

High-risk individuals must remain at home, on leave of absence, if no remote working solution can be proposed.

To facilitate procedures, those people can log in directly, without going through their employer or their general practitioner, to the website declare.ameli.fr to ask to be placed on leave from work for an initial period of 21 days. That leave may even be reported retrospectively from Friday, 13 March.
